My name is Allie Dinnocenzo-Boerum, and I am The Innocent Farmer.

I am a curious soul who loves to travel and loves to eat good food. Cooking is my therapy, and I love creating dishes that remind me of my travels. From the scratch-made tortillas in the markets of Axochiapan, Mexico, or the soulful collard greens in Charleston, South Carolina, one of my favorite ways to re-live travel experiences is through food and cooking.
Whenever I return from an adventure, I am inspired to learn everything I can about a destination’s local cuisine. Then I re-create memorable dishes from where I have been. Then each time I cook that meal, it transports me back to that place and that time.
By learning to cook the cuisine of the places I have traveled, I discover and learn to appreciate what makes it great. The smells, the spices, the locally sourced seasonal ingredients and classic, time-tested recipes really help me appreciate where I have been. This not only makes me hungry, but makes me hungry to plan my next adventure.
I hope you enjoy the tales of my travels and food adventures.
I hope it makes you hungry to have some adventures of your own!
